Generative AI startups have seen a significant increase in valuations compared to other startups.
Median pre-money valuations for early-stage rounds of generative AI companies have risen by 16% in 2023, while prices for other startups raising Series A or Series B have dropped by nearly 24%Generative AI startups with no revenue are able to raise Series A rounds at valuations of around $250 million
Revenue growth for early-stage startups has slowed down, making it more challenging for startups to attract Series A funding
Investors are evaluating generative AI startups based on their potential while evaluating other startups based on revenue
