  • Immersve x Mastercard partnership

  • Cozomo de’ Medici donates 22 NFTS

  • The fund is to help develop their interchain stack and cross-product work

  • Part of this is a “small grants” program that will reward in $ATOM

  • Builders Program will non-financially support devs with mentorship and product support

  • Project DAMA is the banking giant’s first big proof of concept for blockchain tech

  • The project was built with Memento Blockchain

  • DAMA uses an Ethereum platform, soulbound tokens, and off-chain KYC

💸 NFT Alpha: 

  • Cozomo de’ Medici donates 22 NFTs from his collection

  • The Los Angeles County Museum of Art will display the collection from 13 artists

  • This comes right after Yuga Labs donated a CryptoPunk to the Centre Pompidou in Paris

  • Marketshare moved to Blur, surpassing OpenSea in daily ETH volume

  • They have also lowered rates for creators listing on OpenSea

  • OpenSea mentioned that the 0% fee structure was only temporary

  • The main ingredient used by Eggless is lupin bean, which offers high protein, excellent baking functionality, and is environmentally friendly

  • The competitors in vegan egg alternatives all fall behind Simply Eggless, which has a much more versatile and shelf-stable product

Colossal: A Real-Life Jurassic Park

  • Colossal is using genetic engineering to clone extinct species

  • The Woolly Mammoth is set to once again walk the Earth in 2027!

  • Their technology of reconstructing ancient DNA to the point of cloning is revolutionizing the biotech field

  • This is their series B, and we are co-syndicating with our friends at C3

  • They have signed ten LOIs with zoos for paid exhibits, with a projected $500M in yearly revenue

💰 Venture Capital News

  • LPs reduced their commitments across all private fund strategies in 2022

  • High valuation marks and macroeconomic headwinds raised questions

  • The denominator effect, caused by public market values falling faster than alternative assets, was a primary reason for LP pullback

  • Fear of slowing distributions could lead to the inability to meet capital calls and also contribute to declining commitments

  • VC saw the smallest decline in fundraising compared to other private market strategies

  • LP support of VC is expected to drop further in 2023 due to a decline in distributions from IPOs or other exit options

  • Real estate and fund-of-funds fundraising hit their lowest points in 10 years
