PitchBook: Ecommerce investors' shopping spree slackens

• In Q4 2022, there were 77 e-commerce deals worth a combined $1 billion.

• The deal value in the e-commerce sector experienced a 41.2% decline quarter-over-quarter.

• This decline marked the third consecutive quarter with a decrease in deal value.

• Despite the decrease in deal activity compared to the previous year, the e-commerce market in 2022 performed favorably when compared to pre-pandemic years.
