  • The Sandbox’s SAND token is up over 90%, Decentraland’s MANA 152%

  • This comes after a new report from McKinsey & Co. predicting $5 Trillion in metaverse spending by 2030

  • The NY judge ruled in favor of four petitions by news organizations seeking the names

  • The two people were responsible for signing over roughly $21 Million to secure SBF’s bail

  • The ruling is pending an appeal until February 7th

  • The exchange was seized by US and EU authorities in Russian money laundering investigation

  • Europol claims over $1 Billion exchanged by Bitzlato was linked to criminal activities

  • According to the planned reopening, users will be allowed to withdraw 50% of their funds immediately

💸 NFT Alpha: 

  • The first Doodles collection is one of the most successful PFP launches in NFT history

  • With the new Doodles launch, new NFTs can be customized, upgraded, lent, traded, or changed in any number of ways

  • Kevin Rose was the victim to a phishing scam after signing a malicious signature

  • Signing a wallet permission, while it can appear innocuous, can be singing away everything connected to that wallet

  • Within minutes, the hackers sold 25 Chromie Squiggles and one Autoglyph

  • Players can now purchase and use officially licensed NFTs

  • Sky News reports the deal is worth £30 million

  • This comes near the same time Sorare launched their “financial fair play” feature

  • This series B round is at a great valuation for how much the company has done, and is accelerated by a deal with Disney and Star Wars for a VR game Spring ‘23

💰 Venture Capital News

Pantera Capital loses 80% of its token fund in 2022

  • The fund, which trades in 15-25 liquid tokens, lost 23% in November alone

  • Much of the loss was tied to their heavy position in Solana’s token SOL

  • After the Luna collapse, they began to move funds back to the Ethereum ecosystem
