PitchBook: Crossover Investors are Dipping Their Tokens into Secondaries
Crossover investors are cautiously returning to venture capital after a period of retreat.
PitchBook data shows that in 2022, crossover investors participated in fewer VC rounds compared to 2021.
DataBricks, a data analytics and AI company, is drawing significant interest from crossover investors, particularly in the secondary market.
The return of crossover investors to venture capital is seen as a positive sign for potential IPO candidates like DataBricks.
Secondary sales of startups are currently offering discounts due to high supply from investors, but DataBricks stands out as a high-demand exception.
