  • Y Combinator has a strong reputation for backing successful companies like Airbnb and Reddit, making it a popular choice among founders.

  • Y Combinator has a higher rate of producing billion-dollar companies compared to other major accelerators, with approximately 4.5% of its startups achieving this status.

  • The unicorn creation rate for Y Combinator cohorts between 2010 and 2015 was even higher at around 5.4%.

  • Y Combinator has raised a significant amount of capital, approximately $80.9 billion, surpassing other top accelerators.
