PitchBook: What SEC Lawsuit Against Binance Means for Crypto Investing

• The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has charged Binance and its CEO with fraud, misleading investors, and market manipulation.

• The lawsuit could disrupt the buying and selling of popular cryptocurrencies like MATIC and solana, making it harder for investors to sell their holdings.

• If Binance settles the suit, it could face a ban in the US and hefty fines. The SEC has also indicated potential enforcement action against Coinbase.

• The SEC aims to classify a majority of tokens as securities, potentially leading to more regulation.

• Delisting of tokens by exchanges like Coinbase would have significant consequences, causing their value to drop and reducing liquidity.
